Thecompanyprovides salesandaftermarket ser-
vices for awidearrayof JohnDeerefieldequipment,
including tractors, harvestingand loadingmachinery,
and landpreparationequipment.TCC’saccomplish-
mentswith front-lineagricultural equipment and
serviceshavehelped it succeed inmarketsworldwide.
TCC is theonlyauthorizeddealer for JohnDeere
agriculturalequipment inWestandCentralAfricaand
theFrenchWest Indies, and iscurrently theofficial John
Deeredistributor forSenegal,Chad, IvoryCoast, theRe-
publicofCongo,Cameroon, andGabon inAfrica; aswell
asMartiniqueandGuadeloupe in theFrenchWest In-
dies. Since2012,TCChasexpandedeven further, reach-
ing theagriculture industry in theRepublicofChad.
With thehelpof theU.S. ExportAssistanceCenter,
aswell as theU.S.Departmentof StateandAdvocacy
Center inNewOrleans,TCC successfullybidona large
contract for agricultural equipment from theRepublic
ofChad’sProgrammeNational deSécuritéAlimentaire
(National FoodSecurityProgram). Between2012and
2013, theU.S. governmenthelpedcoordinate support
forTuleu towin thecontract forChad; and inApril
2013,Tuleuwasultimatelyawarded thecontract.
The saleof 500 JohnDeereagricultural tractorsand
750agricultural implements toChad representsa sig-
nificantdeal forTCC. Byproviding thisequipment,TCC
will help theRepublicofChadbecome self-sufficient
in termsof foodproduction.Thecontractwas signed
at aceremonyat theU.S.DepartmentofCommerce
onApril 17, 2013,with seniorministers fromChadand
formerUnder SecretaryofCommerce for International
TradeFranciscoSánchez.Thefinancingwas secured in
2014, and theequipmentwas scheduled for shipment
by theendof 2015.Thefinalizationof thecontract
represents the largest sale in thehistoryofTCC.
Moreover, onMay20, 2015,TCCwashonoredbyU.S.
SecretaryofCommercePennyPritzker inWashing-
ton,D.C.with thePresidential“E”Award.Thisaward is
bestowedupona select fewU.S. companies in recog-
nitionof their significant contribution in theeffort to
increaseUnitedStatesexports.
